Description

Even with how much I've improved at cartooning, I will likely always have very unsteady hands. To compensate for this, I draw the comic at 4x magnification so all the lines get smoothed when the final product is reduced. Much of the time, I'm drawing at 2x or 4x magnification of the raw file, which means what I'm looking at on my monitor is 8x or 16x larger than the final product.

One result of this is that my perspective of what will actually be visible in the final product gets quite distorted, and I put a lot more detail into the comic than is ultimately visible.
